The art of watch making is a very interesting miniature mechanical phenomenon and there are some fantastic examples of the various complications that have been made over the former decades, many before the eclectic light bulb was invented. These complications vary from the simple calendar, chronograph, moon phase function and on to many other forms.At the pinnacle is the perpetual calendar mechanism that can also incorporated many other forms of complication. However for me, I find one of the most fascinating and intriguing forms that virtually duplicated the working of the solar system in miniature is “the equation of time”.
